So then it was that Susan and I became 'The Godmothers', but never mothers ourselves. Overseeing friends, offering guidance, and (our specialty) watching over small children and teaching them lessons that we see fit.

A cat came into the yard when I watched my husband's friend's toddler. The cat was curious, yet shy. The little boy took his cues from me, he did not yell or run after the cat, and after the cat left, we left offerings for it.

I left water and sausage bits.

To be gentle with wild things

The little boy grew tired, was covered in dust and grass, and he needed a bath and a nap.

I took great pains to make sure his bath water was not too warm or too cold, and I let him told a toy while I wiped dirt off his tiny nose and away from his ears.

To be patient with children

After drying him off, getting him in a clean diaper and clean clothes, it was nap time. As he rested, I made as little noise as possible...Yet I needed a snack.

I searched the cupboards for food, opened food, easy snacks. I didn't want to open anything new, or cause a mess from cooking. I found a little cereal from an open box.

To move in silence, and to take only what the host has partaken

I noticed the cat had returned to the yard during nap time. I wanted to go outside, but I thought better of it, watching her intently as she sniffed the little boy's toys. I took a few pictures of her to show the boy when he awoke. He would be excited to know the cat returned to sniff at his mud pies.

To leave offerings for creatures in need

Shortly after nap time was over, the boy's parents returned home. We all went to dinner and his parents paid for food. I prefer this, I prefer payment in food rather than money. Needed goods over cash or coins.

To gladly accept needed items for wishes, favors, and services

We watched Mark scream with frustration

While some of us studied for exams, while some of us edited papers, while some of us played the MineCraft Beta test

Years later alone in my apartment, I'd binge watch theory videos, lore videos, videos about dev facts, videos about level designs

And it's almost here

The movie I have waited for since I was in college is here

Hubbs is away, I get to watch it in peace

FNAF is almost here <3
